My name is Catherine Koehler. I attended the University of Incarnate Word from 2020 to 2022 and transferred to Texas State in 2022. I graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Arts from the Texas State University in May 2024. I loved the atmosphere of Texas State and enthusiastically supported the Bobcat Spirit!
During college, I taught in the early childhood classrooms at my local YMCA. There, I created individualized lesson plans for the children, focused on their well being. It was a joy to get to know each child and their family, and foster a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and grow.
During the summer of 2024, I taught at an architecture program for kids. I guided the children in various art techniques as they designed blueprints and built models of structures. I enjoyed the opportunity to utilize my degree, and teach children about the science and art of architecture. They all thrived, expanding their knowledge through creativity.
In my free time, I volunteer at the Immaculate Conception Church and help raise money for our annual festival.
I have a growth mindset. I learn, adapt, and open doors for others by contributing creative ideas to a community. I am grateful for this opportunity at Lupine Lane, and I am excited to be an assistant teacher this fall and share in many creative and memorable experiences with the children!
