All of the after school classes are taught by Lupine Lane Teachers, who are truly passionate, energetic, and most importantly LOVE working with kids.

Below you will find the schedule as well as links to the pages for each class which include more information about the class, the instructor, schedule, cost, and registration.

All classes are nonrefundable after the first two sessions.

Spring 2021 After School Class Offerings

Mis Suenos: Spanish Language and Culture

Mondays: 2/1 to 5/10

This class is a broad yet in depth look at Spanish language and culture. Children will learnthe phonetic sounds of the language, grasp words and unique symbols and begin to putphrases together. They will gain an appreciation for the culture through a focus ontraditional and modern art, folklore and food from Mexico. This class may serve as a supplement to a current Spanish program or as a springboard for future work in Spanish language and culture.
– Skill-based instruction taught by a native Spanish speaker
– Master conversational Spanish through complete immersion in the language.
– Explore the beauty of Spanish culture through art and song.

Tiny Dancers

Ms. Jeanna is excited to share her love for dance as well as the knowledge and skills thatshe’s gained from a lifetime of dancing and starting PAIYH. Kids will focus on thefoundations of ballet and also learn hip hop techniques. They will show off their new skills ina recital at the end of the semester!

Soccer Pals

Ms. Rachelle will share her knowledge, skills and love for the game of soccer with the kidswhile promoting character development and sportsmanship.

Calling all Jedi Knights and Princesses! Learn how to be a proper knight and princessthrough movement and acting out famous fairytales! Dress as your favorite princess or Jedi each class and prep for a royal performance and the end of the session. Kids will learn tricks, perrys, skits and learn staging to music.

The Wide World of Sports

Children learn a new sport skills each week! Ms. Amanda will guide the kids to develop motor skills, athleticism, sportsmanship and basic physical techniques. The goal is for thekids to have fun and build confidence while developing a love of sports they will carry withthem throughout their lives.

The Heart of Art

Children will create unique and meaningful art projects that will be showcased and celebrated. Kids will also be introduced to various art principles, including the color palate, a wide array of painting techniques and working with clay. A “work shopping” portion of the class will allow children to learn the basic skills of critiquing artwork. The projects will be enhanced with music and children’s literature based on a fresh, new theme each month.

Imagination Theatre

Children will learn to use their bodies, voices, and imaginations to create characters and stories. We will have the opportunity to make those stories into a play, while learning all about the elements of theater, including design, movement, and creative expression. Children will gain confidence through creativity, gross motor skills, and imaginative play, culminating in a performance we will share with families at the end of the semester.

This class focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art Processes, and Mathematics:Students will use real-world applications to understand the way our world works. Examplesinclude working with Legos, robotics, DC motors, disassembling and reassembling toys,design, space, and an introduction to coding.

The Friendship Circle – A Social Emotional Exploration

Thursdays: 2/4 to 5/6

Kiddos will explore the depth and breadth of the social emotional world within them andaround them. We will introduce self care concepts like deep breathing, meditation,compromise, the power of positivity in your brain. We will implement and practice important skills for learning such as how to refocus when you become distracted, how to work at a table, use supplies, share toys and share your space. We will bring an abundance of warmth and fun to the group as we play cooperative games and begin to feel like a family with our friends.

Tumbling Down the Lane

Explore the art of Tumbling and Acrobatics through movement, skills on the mat and funkid friendly music. Students will learn terms & techniques such as bridges, tri-stands, headstands, forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, balance beams and more!
