This week Lupine Lane will celebrate Mardi Gras! Â We will learn about New Orleans, Louisiana and French Creole culture. Â We will listen to some authentic music, sing songs and read some wonderful books about the celebration.
In Absolutely Art, we will be making our own Mardi Gras Masks. Â Here is my example.
In Kinder Cooks, we will be stewing up some delicious Jambalaya using Mrs. Boles’ recipe for one of Meg and Reese’s favorite dishes! Â Beignets are also on the menu, with a recipe straight from Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter.
Family and Friends Playtime will run as usual. Â But, we will play some Creole Tunes and try some parachute games incorporating the Mardi Gras theme! Â Those of you who would like to give it a try, Family and Friends Playtime begins at 10:00 am in the gym. Â We’d love to see you there!
