Jessica Polk

I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Geography and a minor in English.

I grew up in West Chester, Pennsylvania. As a young adult, I was a lieutenant at my local Civil Air Patrol squadron. I was a medic and would teach first aid at our weekly meetings.

After high school graduation, I moved to Alaska for college, and I ended up living there eight years. I learned how to make cheese and yogurt on a local farm. I did a bit of everything in Alaska including babysitting and teaching. One of my fondest memories is going dip net fishing for salmon on the Copper River.

I consider myself a Texan now after living here 13 years. I love kids and love learning.
