The Week of March 30th at Lupine Lane

This will be our last week of folktales!  Our next session will be full of Colonial Times fun!

In Lil’ Absolutely Art, we’ll begin with circle time where we’ll sing and read the folktale “The Blue Coat.”  “The Blue Coat” is about a mother who sews a coat for her son.  As he uses it, the mother continually reconstructs the tattered fabric into a new garment for her son to wear.  It is a beautiful tale of the love between a mother and child.  Then, Moms and their children will work together to tie dye their own shirt together.  When the shirt gets worn out, it can be made into something new, just like in the tale!

In Lil’ Kinder Cooks, we’ll begin with circle time, singing, and we’ll read the folktale “The Tortoise and The Hare.”  We’ll then move to the tables for the cooking portion of the class where we’ll make S’mores Granola Bars to fuel the Tortoise and the Hare for their big race.  While our granola bars are baking, some kids will become tortoises and some will become hares, and we will have our own races!

Family and Friends playtime will be full of circle time, rhythm instruments, singing, free play and parachute fun!  Bring your friends along!  We’re enjoying all of the new faces!
