The Week of July 6th at Lupine Lane

I hope everyone had a fabulous Fourth of July!

As we continue our Multicultural Month, we will move on to Spain this week!

Lil’ Absolutely Art and Absolutely Art
In Lil’ Absolutely Art and Absolutely Art, we’ll look at some artisan tiles and hand-painted fans direct from Sevilla, Spain. Then, we’ll discuss some traditional colors used by Spanish artisans and we’ll be painting our own Spanish tiles and make some lovely fans, just like those from Spain.
Lil’ Kinder Cooks and Kinder Cooks
In Lil’ Kinder Cooks and Kinder Cooks, we’ll be making a delicious and traditional Spanish dish called Paella. Paella is a rice dish that is a staple throughout Southern Spain (the region also known as Andalucia). Paella is traditionally composed of rice, seafood and vegetables, creating a nutritious and filling medley.
Lil’ Music Makers and Music Makers
In Lil’ Music Makers and Music Makers, we’ll be introduce our new students to some of our songs that we’ve learned and go over rhythm and marching with instruments. Then, we’ll begin to implement multicultural elements into the course, that will help children develop music skills and present opportunities to learn words in other languages.

Fun With Photography
In Fun With Photography, we’ll be going outside to take some self portraits in front of a broad landscape. Then, we’ll head inside to work with Photoshop, where we’ll add a fireworks scene to the photo!
