The Week of September 7th at Lupine Lane

Hello Everyone! Before our lessons, I have a couple of quick notes.
First, please check out the BRAND NEW Lupine Lane Website! The new site is much more comprehensive of all that Lupine Lane does.
Lupine Lane begins classes at our new location, Steiner Ranch’s Bella Mar Community Center this Friday! We are very excited to be a part of the community!
We also begin a new season at Clay Madsen this week! Family and Friends Playtime is back beginning next week with lots of new toys including Plasma Cars, a Kiddie Roller Coaster, a Puppet Theatre and more! In addition, we are offering both Mommy and Me and Drop Off Classes during the day on Mondays and Wednesdays for little ones who are not yet in school. Then, for those that are in school, there is the brand new After School Supper Club on Wednesdays at Clay Madsen where kids make an entire dinner for 4 to bring home! (We are also offering this on Thursdays at Lakeway.)
This week, we’re beginning a series of months using various cultures to inspire our lessons. We’ll be using the Caribbean to inspire our lessons during September!

Lil’ Absolutely Art and Absolutely Art
We’ll be creating our own tropical fish! We’ll look at photographs of fish living in the Caribbean Sea and use colorful papers and other materials to create a fish of our own! In addition, we’ll also make tropical seashell and sea glass frames!

Lil’ Kinder Cooks and Kinder Cooks
We’ll be learning about the origins of Jamaica’s Jerk Spices and create delicious Jerk Chicken and Vegetable Kabobs!

Lil’ Music Makers and Music Makers
We’ll be introducing Caribbean beats, including calypso and reggae. We’ll be adding a new song every week from the Caribbean!

Fun With Photography
We’ll learn about enhancing the colors of a photo to create a vibrant Caribbean scene!

The After School Supper Club
Like Kinder Cooks we’ll be learning about the origins of Jamaica’s Jerk Spices and create delicious Jerk Chicken and Vegetable Kabobs! We’ll also be making a Jamaican staple, Rice and Peas! (in this case, “peas” aren’t peas as we know them, but rather, Jamaicans call Kidney Beans peas!)
