Good Wednesday to everyone! I hope you are all doing well!
We began implementing QManager for signing in and out yesterday! What a wonderful new technological advance! As with anything new, there is still a bit of a learning curve for some, and that is just fine! Until everyone is able to access the app on their smart phone or tablet successfully, we will be utilizing classroom iPads, where you can sign your child in and our with your index finger! We are enjoying the ability to prepare your child for their transition home as we watch your family approach for pick up! If you need a new key code, please see either Kaleigh or myself and we will re-key your app.
After School Classes began Monday with gusto! We are so excited for an eventful, enriching semester with our returning after school classes and new additions. View our schedule and descriptions online on the Current Classes page and click the class title to enroll. PAIYH classes are a separate enrollment process, which can be completed through the PAIYH website or by calling 512-291-2179.
All children enrolled in After Care will receive a 15% discount on After School Classes, with the exception of PAIYH offerings. Please email us for enrollment links. We are thrilled to begin these wonderful classes with such talented teachers!
We are about to roll out yet another new advance this week! This has been a great deal in the making, but we are nearly ready to send out logins and passwords to all enrolled families for our classroom pages and online child journals!
The Classrooms page on our site explains how to login and set up your child’s profile for his or her journal once you have your unique login and password. Once logged in, you will be granted access to the classroom pages and your child’s individual journal.
Teachers will update their classroom page and your child’s journal each week. Both of these methods will serve as a constant source of communication on two levels: the classroom page will provide information about the overall class including curriculum and events and your child’s journal will serve as a steady, consistent stream of feedback about your child’s development and experiences at school. Each journal is accessed only through each unique login and password that we provide to you and your child’s teacher. We are currently researching methods for printing these at the conclusion of the year, since we realize the importance of retaining a hard copy, both as a source of information about your child and as a wonderful keepsake!
