Welcome!! My name is Jill Howell. I grew up as a daughter of an Air Force officer; we moved to several places across the United States, but I consider California my home state. In 2016, my husband, our three teenage kids and I moved from California to Austin, and I can honestly say it was the best move I ever made.
During breaks from college, I worked as a teacher’s assistant at a local preschool and spent two summers working with children at a diabetes camp. I graduated Cal Poly State University with a Bachelor’s in Nutritional Science and became a Registered Dietitian that specialized in geriatric nutrition.
After my second child, I took some time off to raise my children. About 10 years ago, I started volunteering at the local elementary school, which eventually turned into a part time job. I just loved being around the kids on a day-to-day basis and helping them learn and grow.
I have been happily working at Lupine Lane for the past 4 years, and going on my third year as the lead hummingbird teacher. I absolutely adore working with two to three year olds, and I look forward to another fun and exciting year making memories and watching them grow, love and learn.
My spare time looks different these days, as I am officially an empty-nester now, with two college graduates and my youngest in her sophomore year of college. On the weekends I am busy with home renovation projects, or when I am lucky enough, you can find me on the lake making memories with family and friends.
