Jill Howell

Welcome!! My name is Jill Howell. As a daughter of an Air Force officer, our family moved to several places across the United States as I was growing up, but I consider California my home state. In 2016, my husband, our three teenage kids and I moved from California to Austin. I can honestly say it was the best move I ever made!

During breaks from college, I worked as an assistant teacher at a local preschool and spent two summers working with kids at a camp that served children with diabetes. I graduated from Cal Poly State University with a Bachelor’s in Nutritional Science and became a Registered Dietitian, specializing in geriatric nutrition.

After my second child, I took some time off to raise my children. In 2015, I started volunteering at the local elementary school, which eventually turned into a part time job. I just loved being around the kids on a day-to-day basis and helping them learn and grow.

I have been happily working at Lupine Lane since 2018. I absolutely adore working with kids in their early childhood years, and I look forward to another fun and exciting year making memories and being a part of all of the growth, love, and learning. In my first year, I was the Assistant Teacher in the Penguin Classroom and then became the Lead Teacher in the Hummingbirds Classroom for several years. For the last two years, I have been leading the Owl Classroom. This year, I am incredibly excited to be returning to the Hummingbird Classroom. It will be an amazing year for all.

My spare time looks different these days, as I am officially an empty-nester now. I have three wonderful adult children, with two grandchildren on the way. On the weekends I am busy with home renovation projects, or when I am lucky enough, you can find me on the lake making memories with family and friends.
