The Week of April 13th at Lupine Lane

Happy Easter, and a BIG thank you to all of you who came out to Round Rock’s Egg Hunt! What a fun morning!

This week in Lil’ Absolutely Art, we will start our session on Colonial Times. We will begin with our circle time greeting song and talk about the role of a soapmaker in a colonial village as well as how the soap was made. Then, we’ll move to the tables and make our very own soap!!

Lupine Lane is now offering a drop off version of Absolutely Art for 4-7 year olds from 1:45-2:45pm at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center. The kids will do the same projects, but independently. If you know anyone that is interested, please pass the information along. Drop off Absolutely Art (2-3pm) and Kinder Cooks (3-4pm) begin April 30 in Lakeway!

In Lil’ Kinder Cooks, we will continue our colonial theme by beginning with a greeting song in circle time and then talking about food in colonial times. We will discuss how settlers purchased staple items to make nearly everything from scratch. Then, we’ll make bread and butter, just like the settlers did…from basic, fresh ingredients!

More and more children are joining in the fun at Family and Friends Playtime! Come on out and invite your friends! The more the merrier!
