The Week of April 27th at Lupine Lane

Hello all! Lupine Lane was at the Cedars Montessori Spring Festival and a neighborhood Spring Party this weekend, and boy, were these events fun! We tie-dyed our hearts out! Thank you to Cedars Montessori, Steve Wolf and his neighborhood for having us! What a great time!

Kid Kits are the newest addition to Lupine Lane!!! Each handcrafted project kit contains a Lupine Lane project “to go,” which will be a fun solution to lazy summer afternoons! Each kit contains everything a kiddo needs to construct a unique, creative project. These will eventually be available online at lupinelane.com (our home site is getting a big makeover, to better communicate with all of you!). For now, you can order by calling or emailing Lauren (512-565-1501 or [email protected]). Below is a list of Kid Kits currently available for purchase. The Mom (or Dad) and Me Frame Kid Kit makes a heartwarming, homemade gift for Mother’s or Father’s Day!

This week in classes, we’ll finish up our Colonial Session. In our next session, we will use Dr. Seuss stories as our inspirations for learning and creating!

In Lil’ Absolutely Art and Absolutely Art, We’ll begin in circle time and discuss the important role of the village candle maker, since there was no electricity in colonial times! Then, we will be making our own candles and a candle holder!

In Lil’ Kinder Cooks, will begin in circle time and talk about the fact that cheese was a staple in colonial times, since it was simple food made from animal milk. Then, we will be making our very own farmer’s white cheese (also more elegantly known as fromage blanc). Then, we’ll bake some crackers to eat with our cheese!
Drop off classes begin this Thursday in Lakeway! Absolutely Art is from 2-3pm and Kinder Cooks is from 3-4pm! Come join in the fun!
Lastly, we are working on plans for an end of season event on a Saturday in late May at Clay Madsen Recreation Center! More on this to come very soon!…
