The Week of May 11th at Lupine Lane

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. ~Washington Irving

Hello all, and Happy Mother’s Day! Everything that we do at Lupine Lane would not be possible without all of the wonderful Mothers! Thank you. This week in classes, we’ll celebrate Mother’s Day!

In Lil’ Absolutely Art and Absolutely Art, we will continue our Dr. Seuss Theme and read “Are You My Mother?” Then, we will be making imprints of the kiddo’s hands in plaster, along with Mother’s Day Cards!

In Lil’ Kinder Cooks and Kinder Cooks, we will be reading “Daisy-Head Mayzie” and making burgers, just like she makes in the story. If anyone is vegetarian and Miss Lauren doesn’t know, email me, and I’ll bring a veggie burger. We’ll also decorate a daisy cookie, like Daisy always has on her head, to give to Mom!

Also, the End of Season Brunch is up for registration on the www.roundrockrecreation.com. We’d love to see all of the Lupine Lane participants for a celebration with food, games, music, pictures, a craft and lots of fun!
