Happy Fourth of July!
This is a shorted week of classes (only Thursday and Friday classes are on!) so I am writing our blog late this week. We will start a Multicultural Month this week. We will focus on a different country every week. This week we’ll work on all things American, in honor of the Fourth of July!
Lil’ Absolutely Art and Absolutely Art
This week in Lil’ Absolutely Art and Absolutely Art, we’ll be painting All-American Baseball Caps. We’ll paint stars using the good ol’ red white and blue and add some glow in the dark paint so these caps stand out at the firework show! Then, we’ll use glue and glitter on black paper to paint a firework scene, just like the one we’ll see on Saturday!
Lil’ Kinder Cooks and Kinder Cooks
In Lil’ Kinder Cooks and Kinder Cooks, we’ll be grilling some delicious hamburgers and french fries! Perfect foods for a fun, summer holiday weekend! Children will learn how to properly prepare and cook meat and use the spiral peeler to make some funky fries!
Lil’ Music Makers and Music Makers
In Lil’ Music Makers and Music Makers, we’ll be singing patriotic songs to celebrate July Fourth! We’ll have fun with classics like Yankee Doodle and You’re a Grand Old Flag.
Fun With Photography
In Fun With Photography, we’ll be experimenting with taking self portraits and adding fireworks in the background using Photoshop!
