Hello! It seems like every year it becomes more difficult to believe that Summer is coming to an end and Fall is beginning! The Summer of 2011 was surely eventful and a ton of fun for us! We hope it was for you as well!
Our Around the World Summer Camp was a huge success! All of the campers were absolutely wonderful kids; they were all eager to learn, explore and create every day! The kids learned about a different region every week, focusing on a different country everyday. In the morning, we focused on Global Values such as peace, love, respect and responsibility. The kids then went to Movement with Mr. Chase, where they learned awesome Yoga moves, Tae Kwon Do and played some fun games. The afternoons were full of art projects and cooking. The kids learned about artists from the countries we focused on, as well as different artistic movements and styles. They made Sumi Ink Drawings, Japanese Pop Art Animals, Picasso Portraits, Illuminated Letters and so much more. To see the entirety of the art projects, click here! Then, in cooking, the kids cooked and tried food like Tanzanian Samosas, Chicken Makahni, Canadian Tourtiere and Egyptian Shwarma! To see the entire cooking menu, click here! This Fall, we will begin offering a Mother’s Day Out Program on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30a to 1:30p. We are so excited for the orientation with parents and kids on September 1st and then to begin the program on September 7th! It will surely be a year full of discovery, learning, creating and growth! Our small class size is going to allow for a lot of one-on-one interaction. I am absolutely over the moon to begin!
Our Fall Classes are also starting to take a permanent shape! Since all of our instructors are in graduate school, figuring out an after school class schedule proved to be a juggling act! We are almost there though! Now, you can see our fall class listings by clicking here!
We will be offering our Mommy and Me Classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Little Absolutely Art will be from 11:00-11:45a and Little Kinder Cooks will be from 12:00pm-12:45pm.
We will also offer lots of After School Classes like Cooking Around the World: Kinder Cooks, Cooking Around the World: Young Chefs, Absolutely Art, Fine Art Club, Visual Storytelling, The After School Supper Club and more!
And, we will also offer Weekend Workshops such as Baking Around the World, Halloween Treats: A Candy Making Workshop, Studio Photography, Nature Photography and Gingerbread Workshops for the family and for just the kids!
